Movement, well being and nutrition are the perfect balance to help increase your all-round fitness levels. These three pillars all have an essential part to play when it comes to moving forward and becoming an enhanced you.
Imagine a triangle, with each of our pillars at a point, no matter where you put those points they all connect and support each other. For good movement, we need good nutrition and well being as our supports. For good nutrition we need to have good well being and movement, you can see where I’m going with this…
But what does that mean?
Here is an insight to how these three pillars can really open up your possibilities.
So let start here, with good movement we get a huge number of benefits.
- Increase stability
- Better flexibility
- Faster proprioception & reflexes
- Increased circulation
But let’s look past the text book, with all my clients I look at better movement as being able to able walk, jog, run without pain in your knees or back. Waking up and not having to roll out of bed. Having confidence in your body, knowing that you can move freely without expecting to feel a pain or a persistent niggle. It means not being restricted and lowering your risk of cardiovascular diseases. All these benefits have a real-life crossover.
Nutrition, Nutrition, Nutrition, a few of the best benefits include:
- Healthier heart
- Better weigh and body fat % control
- More energy
- Stronger immune system
Nutrition is in my opinion is a very fundamental part in everyone’s life that often gets overlooked. I ask all my clients “how’s your nutrition going?” I always get the same look back. Dread. But seriously I’m not here to criticize you because you made one bad choice in your week, I’m there to guide you and help with alternative options.
We all have good and bad days. We just need to remember that better nutrition will have so many benefits. I know it’s not always the quickest or easiest thing to do at the weekend, but by switching out a convenient deal meal for a home prepared lunch will honestly make all the difference. As well as having fruit and nuts for a sweet fix instead of a chocolate bar. Little changes make a difference, have fun and grow with the experience.
Fast becoming more openly talked about, some of the benefits include.
- Healthier outlook on life
- Better stress management and control
- Lower risk of cardiovascular disease
- Being more mindful and present in the moment
Often over looked, because it seen as squishy and not talked about like it’s a weakness. Let me be completely honest, you will get the best results by having a positive and mindful mindset. All top athletes work on both their physical and mental performance, as they are equality important in the getting the results you want.
Physically your mindset can affect muscle gain and weight management. This is due to the level of the stress hormone cortisol in your body. Stress can also raise blood pressure and increase the risk of cardiovascular disease. That’s why wellbeing is one of our three pillars. We aim to give everyone that trains with us the mental fortitude to help them overcome challenges with a new perspective.
I just want to wrap things up by saying I hope you can take something way from this post and that you know a little bit more about what we do here at Bird Fitness.
Fitness is a broad term and it means something different to everyone, to us it means being strong and ready to get the most out of life.
